About The Parlour
My friend bought me a manicure/pedicure as a gift. I had never had one before and so had no idea what to expect but having spoken to other people and having a basic knowledge of customer service I knowit shouldn't have been what I received.The two girls that worked on me were very friendly, but once my manicure and pedicure were done I was just left in the salon and told to leave when my nails were dry! I was not told in advance to wear flip flops (it was October, not really flip flop weather anyway) and my toenails smudged. I was meeting the friend who bought me the pedi later that evening and had to go over my nails myself so she wouldnt see the mess! The ambience was not that great at all, I was sat next to a woman having her hair cut, not a nice little pamper room, the music played was next to my head, really loud and pumping dance music, really bright lights, not relaxing or especially pampering in any way. The whole thing felt very rushed. No one came to check on me to see if I was ok or wanted any water or if my nails were dry the whole time they were drying. I just had to get up on my own. As it was prepaid I got up and left, as I walked out the receptionist could see me leaving and didnt even say bye! When I saw my friend I had to lie and say it was great!I know someone else that went to the parlour for hair dressing and make up and they really liked it, so maybe the standards have changed but I would never go there again and would not recommend it to others either.
