I had received mixed reviews about the spa before I went, but for £19 thought it was a good price, I was very wrong. The place was noisy the towels had seen-better days. The young girl was good and I did receive an ok massage but my friend ended up with a rash and my brother ended up very cold . The rooms are tired and need cleaning, and there was a lot of damp. The welcome was nice but the lady on the phone did not make me feel welcome. I would not go back again and would not recommended it. The groupon voucher said it was worth £85 originally and I am glad I didn't pay that.

Groupon deal and for good reason it seems. Like - The masseuse was nice and knew her stuff. Standard back and shoulder but was supposed to be swedish but was more aromatherapy. Dislike. Place is very cold - I'd say the room was no more than 14 degrees. I don't mind cold but that was cold. No sooner was the muscle warmed and it was cold along with the masseuse's fingers. The room I was in had a back door on the wall with gaps to the world everywhere making a draft. Walls had mould and were discoloured which didn't look great. The towels looked like they'd been around the block many times discoloured white but clean. But the worst thing was how cold I felt. To be honest I almost said stop after 15-20 mins if I didn't really need my calves and hamstrings done. But after 45 mins I was very pleased it was over. Oh and the music.. Not relaxing by putting a radio on tuned to classic FM or Radio 2.. every 5 mins got the voice of a DJ and rather un-relaxing dramatic moody Classical music to make my tense cold muscles even less relaxed. Finally the massage oil was very very oily and thick. I have no idea what is better to use to be fair, but I had to towel it off every where and when put my shirt back, looked in the mirror 2 hrs later i found oil stains on my back and shoulders. Not great but might be unavoidable with different products. All in all not returning for a massage just wasn't enjoyable. To the folks at Pure.. the devil is in the detail but get the fundamentals right.

The location was lovely, down a little side road. The shop front did not remind me of a spa/treatment area. We were welcomed by a lovely lady. We asked to use the loo. When we found the loo, the other therapist was sat outside the loo eating a cheese and onion roll. A little unprofessional. We were then led into two separate room next to each other (although we could here every word through the thin walls). I was asked to undress to my undies, the room was freezing. The therapist promised to use lots of warm towels. The floor was very dusty. I had a full aromatherapy massage, but smelt no oils, it was just a base oil and the full body massage didn't include my arms. I said I was very cold, so she piled more hard cold towels on me. No word of a lie, I had 8 towels on me. The facial was nice...but quick. Products were freezing and the therapist was unsure what she was using. She had to keep leaving the room to answer the phone and to help her mum who was covering reception because the card machine wasn't working. I wasn't very relaxed and came out of the salon feeling very cold and in need of a treatment.
