• Reviewed by Mary Lewis on 2012-05-22 08:14:21 What did I like about this deal? Well that is simple, everything about it was amazing. I loved the makeup. And by that I mean that I loved the products and the way they were applied. The makeup artist that did me at New ID is incredible. She made my complexion look flawless it was really amazing and she gave me this face chart to follow so I can get the look myself. I thought this bit was fantastic because it means that it is something you can use forever and not just on the day. I did not buy the cosmetics that day at the salon because I maxed out buying picture but I have since brought everything they used online and the cosmetics are so affordable, so easy to use and very long lasting, especially the lip gloss that normally lasts about five minutes on me. I loved the way they cut and styled my hair, I went for quite a different look than I normally have but I felt very confident with the stylist that did an incredible job. I loved the shoot, it was great fun and a lot less nerve racking than I thought it would be to start off with. I would like to congratulate the staff on providing such a great day for me and such a great look and for giving me a great deal more confidence walking out than I had when I went in. The prints are not exactly cheap, they start at 50 pounds and go up to 249 but they are superb in terms of quality and in my eyes are excellent value for money. 5

The staff were super good at doing the makeovers and I have never felt or looked so amazing in my life before. I thought the whole team were fantastic and they made my experience so memorable and I have some incredible pictures that inspire me every day. The New ID cosmetics are something else that I want to mention. I brought one or two on the day and really enjoyed using them and then found that you can buy them online. They are very inexpensive but at the same time they are very good quality. This is the same for the makeovers that are also very inexpensive but very comprehensive, good quality and good value for money. I think everything about New ID is good and even though the prints at the end of the day are not as cheap as the makeover deals or as the makeup they are still good value for money and cost a lot less than what I was quoted from my local photographer. I think New ID are very well run and organized, the booking system is easy, the website is very easy to navigate and the whole thing for me from start to finish was simply fantastic. 5
• Reviewed by Alisha Maidment on 2012-05-14 07:08:30 I was very impressed with both the hair and makeup that I had done during my deluxe makeover with New ID. The staff were friendly but it was a little bit unorganized to say the least. I had to wait for ages in between having my hair done and having my makeup done, which was a real shame because it let down what was otherwise the most incredible experience. I have never had a hairdresser that took so much time and effort over my hair, and that was before she had even started cutting it. She was fantastic as finding out what sort of style I wanted, how long I have to spend on my hair and she gave me a cut that really suits me. The lady that did my makeup was just as good. The photographer was also lovely and I was very surprised as how quickly I felt at ease with him as I am not generally very comfortable in front of a camera but I felt totally fine here. The free Bucks Fizz cocktails went down very well and I was not at all pushed into buying more pictures than I set out to buy, this was a concern to me because I am shocking at saying no and have come home with things I don’t actually want on many occasions. I think if they could sort the day out so people come in at a different time and don’t have to wait this would really be the most perfect experience. 5
• Reviewed by Lucy Mcdonnald on 2012-05-01 11:31:01 I liked just about everything about New ID in Newcastle. It is easy to find, it is easy to get to by train. The salon is nice, its bright and has a great atmosphere. The salon team are friendly, experienced and professional. The products are good, I like their range of cosmetics very much. I have brought several of their cosmetics since my makeover because the makeup they did for me lasted for ages and even when I tried to do the same thing with my existing cosmetics it did not look the same and did not last anywhere near as long. They give you a makeup chart so you can recreate the look yourself when you leave and I found I was unable to do this with my makeup, but found it very easy indeed with their range and another great thing is that they are not at all expensive. I enjoyed the photoshoot despite feeling a bit nervous to start off with , the lady that did my photos was a friend of a friend as soon as I realized that I felt a lot more at ease and we found out we had a lot in common. I loved posing once I had got over the initial embarrassment and she got some amazing pictures of me. I think the photos are quite pricy, whether you get them as prints or on CD but they are amazing and I did not resent paying what I did for them. You get a lot of pampering and it is a superb way to spend a few hours! This is one thing that I would do again! 5

It is very easy to book a makeover here, the website is great and has all of the information you could ever need on it so that is a great start as far as I am concerned. The customer service people on the phone were completely great and very helpful and answered all of my questions. The cost of the makeover is minimal and it is totally amazing what you get for your money. The salon is clean, fun and really welcoming. The staff are fantastic, really friendly and will do anything for you, which is great. The makeup products are amazing, I brought loads of them and have looked like model every since! I was never particularly good at doing my makeup but the New ID makeup artist gave me some great advice and taught me some great techniques while was there and I have been using them ever since. The hair styling was brilliant. The photoshoot was awesome, I loved every second of it even though normally I am pretty shy in front of a camera. The photos were totally amazing and I loved the variety in them, lots of different backgrounds and colours, there were so many to choose from. The whole thing was just amazing and way better than I had ever expected. 5
• Reviewed by Jeanette McFee on 2012-04-18 07:04:08 I really enjoyed going to have a makeover at New ID with my sister. She came down for the weekend just to go and get this done with me. We had such a great time, on Saturday we went off shopping for New outfits for the occasion and after a bit of an evening practicing our poses and having such a giggle we turned up to New ID a bit hungover but ready to have a great time. We got a Bucks Fizz, well hair of the dog, as soon as we got there and immediately felt better. We stated out getting our hair washed and conditioned and then cut and blow dried and styled, neither of us wanted anything vastly different to what we already had but we were both very happy with the cut and the style was great. We had our makeup done and got rid of those bags under our eyes, it was a bit like watching a miracle take place, it was pretty incredible. Then we waited around or a while and took in what everybody else was having done at the studio before we got our turn in front of the camera. We both got hit with a fit of the giggles but the photographer soon got us on the right track, he was clearly very experienced in doing that and we had some incredible shots taken that really took our breath away during the viewing session. We both really loved the staff, and the atmosphere and we are over the moon with the pictures so it really was a very successful day. 5

I was impressed with the make-up and by that I mean both the application and the actual products that are very affordable and very easy to use. I have been using them for a few weeks now and find that they are very long lasting and this makes them even more good value. I was delighted my my hair cut and they way they styled it. I felt that a lot of thought went into how they did my hair and the style really suited my face and made me look a lot younger, and nobody is going to be less than impressed with that. the staff were all very friendly, they made sure i had a drink at all times and made sure that I felt happy and comfortable. i was really impressed with the photographs and felt that there was no hard sell going on and it was up to me how many of them i wanted to buy. I felt very happy all round with the service. 5

Everybody there was having a great time including me and the before and afters were amazing. I really like the cosmetics, I brought quite a large amount of them and the way I do my makeup has improved dramatically since I had the experience that included a mini makeup lesson the way the makeup artist explained everything to me! I loved the initial consultation that gave me a lot of confidence and I also really enjoyed the photoshoot that was a lot more relaxed than I had anticipated and of course the best thing of all of it was the amazing pictures that had superb content, great composition and were printed on really high quality paper. Oh and one final point the staff were great. 5

I have never been what you would call an oil painting but by the time this lot had finished with me I was as near as I was ever going to get. It was a pretty miraculous transformation and one that I will never forget, well, I really will never forget because I have the most amazing pictures of me looking like a billion dollars hanging on my wall! What I found most incredible was the price, I only paid forty pounds for my makeover which is actually considerably less than I would normally pay for a haircut, so anything on top of that was always going to be a bonus! The makeup wads equally as good as the haircut and styling and I will be going back to take part in the beauty on the go deal that is only twenty five pounds and does not involve a photoshoot it is just to get dolled up before you go out to a special event or a night on the town! The whole package with New ID is great and I just wanted to pop on here and share the love! 5
• Reviewed by rita on 2011-12-20 11:49:36 What I loved most about this experience was the staff service, they were all very pleasant and very concerned about giving me a look that I wanted rather than one they just felt like doing, as had been the case at another makeover salon that I used a few years ago. The level of service was a lot higher than I expected and on top of that the hair cut was one of the best that I have ever had, I will certainly be going back for another hair cut if nothing else! I really loved the way they did my makeup, it was not too heavy even though I know they have to put more on so it is not bleached out by the camera and the lights. During the consultation a lot of consideration was given to what I wanted to achieve and then they did just that. I am not sure when I will go for another makeover but one thing I do know for sure is that when I do, it will be with New ID Studio. 5

The good things are that the makeup is great, I love New ID cosmetics, they last for ages and they come in really cool shades, the way the woman did my makeup was great. She did a chart for me that detailed what she put where, I have brought all of the products that she used on me, to be fair my makeup does look a lot better than it used to but it is not really like she did it! The hair cut was great, I was pretty happy with that, but it was a bit shorter than I wanted! The free drink was great, I am not the biggest fan of Bucks Fizz but alcohol is always better than no alcohol. The photo session was fun but it was a bit rushed as they were very busy that day but having said that the photos were out of this world I was really seriously impressed with them. The down side to this is the price of the pictures its not that they are over priced it is just that they are so good you are going to want all of them and it is a bit heartbreaking not to be able to buy them all but unless you have some serious cash to spend you are not going to be able to get all of them 5

For one it was clean, and for two the atmosphere was fantastic, I could tell that I was going to have fun as soon as I got in the door, it was a lovely big room and there was a lot going on that made it all very exciting. I loved the staff, who were without exception very friendly indeed and they all seemed to be very good and professional doing their each individual bit of the makeover. I loved the makeup it was a lot better quality than I had expected and I went on to buy quite a a lot of it, the stuff they used on me during the experience and I have since brought quite a lot more online. The photo guy was really nice, he was good fun and made me feel very welcome. The pictures were great quality and I was happy with the price. The experience was really interesting and enjoyable and I would be more than happy to go again in the future and probably will because it’s a great way to spend a day a really nice environment with happy professional people who make you look and feel fantastic. 5

They listen to exactly what you want to achieve and then they achieve exactly what you asked for. The studio is clean and well organized, the hairdresser and makeup artist worked wonders on my hair and makeup, I was so impressed, it took years off me. The photographer was a really nice guy that made me feel very comfortable and made me look stunning in the pictures. I didn’t find any hard sell during the private viewing session, even though I have read it does happen and the pictures only took three weeks to come when they told me it would be up to eight and they were even better than I expected. I thought the makeover was very reasonably priced and you got an awful lot for your money, the pictures are not cheap but are worth every penny and I was very glad I went. The vouchers are a great gift idea too. 5
• Reviewed by viv on 2011-09-21 09:32:55 I had a superb time with New ID, I am very glad I picked them out of a choice of companies offering the same thing and I am as happy to recommend them as I would be happy to go back again. The Makeover I had included a free print, free drinks all day and that was Bucks Fizz, I had makeup professionally applied by a profession makeup artist, I had my hair washed cut and blow dried and styled by a professional hair stylist and then after some time to catch my breath I had my photos taken in a professional photo salon by a professional photographer and it was super. I though it would be more like having you pictures taken at school but no, this was far more fun, we had lots of different backgrounds to choose from and I was in all sorts of positions at one point he had me on the fire escape, that was a hoot, and in the middle of a circular lump of wood that was fun too, there were pull down backgrounds, screens, fans, music, it really is quite fascinating and a real hoot! I was blown away at the quality of the pictures, I wanted to have the printed and take them home but sadly you have two wait about two months for them but I am sure they are going to be awfully good, they looked super in the viewing. 5
