I felt I had to get on line and say what an excellent time I had with New ID. I have never had a make over before or a photo shoot and was suitably nervous about the whole experience that my daughter bought for me for Christmas, it took me until May to pluck up the courage to book with my voucher and go and do it! As soon as I got to the studio I was welcomed and made to feel at ease. I was offered a bucks fizz, it was a bit early in the day for me so I had a coffee but I did have two before the photos were taken to calm my nerves.All of the staff were very friendly and very obviously used to putting people like me at ease. The stylist did wonders with my hair and it looked better than it has looked in years, I am sure I wont be able to make the cut look quite as good as she did but it felt great to have a really nice style. I loved having my make up done, I am not really one for doing much make up wise but the lady showed me all sorts of tricks and I feel a lot happier about using it more now and I will certainly try to achieve the look again with the chart that was given that showed me what to put where.I was a bit of a nervous wreck after the make up session as I have never been very confident and especially not in front of the camera but to my great relief I had time to enjoy a bucks fizz while having some nail polish put on and then having some final touches done to my hair.There was no getting away from the fact it was now time for the photos so I took a deep breath and in I went. The photo girl was amazing, she really got me in the mood and I felt nowhere near as silly as I expected to. I was shot in three outfits and I really enjoyed it in the end, it was all down to the photographer who just made me feel really comfortable.The pictures were lovely, not cheap but I think they were worth it really, it’s a special treat and not something you do every day and everybody who has seen them says it was well worth it. I felt really glamorous and its given me a bit of an incentive to try different looks and become a bit more glamorous in myself on a day to day basis and not just make an effort on special occasions.Not matter what your age I think this is a lovely way to give your confidence a bit of a boost and I am very grateful to my daughter for giving me the opportunity, I just wish I had booked a bit soon instead of being a shrinking violet!
