A friend and I bought a package from Groupon for 3 hours of 'luxury' treatment. We'd never been before but figured it was worth a shot. The deal should have cost £160, we got it for £39. It included a 70 minute full body massage, a facial, an indian head massage, and an exfoliation treatment. Sounds pretty good, right? Wrong. The salon itself seemed OK, not particularly luxurious. My friend was taken through first. I was left sitting in reception for 20 minutes before anyone came to take me anywhere. That's 20 minutes past the time my appointment should have started. First up was a full body massage. It was probably the worst I have ever had. The room was cold and I was covered with two towels, no blankets, no comfort. The music was really LOUD, bizarrely. I can only assume that was for the therapist's benefit. I asked whether I'd still get the full time quoted (70 minutes) as we were starting so late. The therapist surprised me by stating that the 70 minute massage was actually 45 minutes... the rest being consultation... which consisted of me filling in a card. Weird. I was then left in the cold before someone else came to give me the exfoliation. This was odd. And cold.Cold flannels were used to wipe the gunk off me... so basically I was in a room mostly naked being rubbed down with cold flannels by a disinterested woman. WEIRD. Then I had a facial which was basic at best. And then the 'indian head massage'. I've had LOADS of these before and this was not one. It consisted of me lying on my back while the therapist half heartedlly rubbed my head a bit like a trainee hairdresser washing my hair... for about 15 minutes. And that was it. All in all, the weirdest and worst spa experience of my life. I would never go there again and I would heartily recommend that you don't either. There are some amazing places in Leamington Spa and plenty to choose from. Avoid junerain at all costs.
