Step into Trumper's and you'll feel immediately thrown back to the old school days of horse drawn carriages in London. Trumper's is truly old school. From the first moment you step in, a sharply dressed receptionist greets you with "Sir" and old Victorian phrases and then rings downstairs for your barber to prepare the blades. So quintessentially classic that Johnny Depp observed the surgically precise craftsmen at Trumper's when preparing for his role in Sweeney Todd. A hot steaming towel opens your pores followed by a series of face massages with Trumper's own branded moisturizer. The moisturizer is extremely high quality and the only other place I've ever seen the product besides at Trumper's is in the bathroom at Annabelle's (real hitter style). While under the towel, the barber prepares no less than two blades, one for your neck and one for the face, from his leather wallet containing deadly sharp blades to fit every skin type. A proper lather, a proper shave, another hot towel then a cold towel, some advice on how to shave with a razor (i.e. the hair on my neck grows up while hair on the face grows down), some gentleman's perfume and you are out the door. I felt like Kanye West walking out and looped the word's of his song in my head: "Dressed smart like a London Bloke. Before he speak his suit bespoke. And you thought he was cute before. Look at this Pea Coat, Tell me he’s broke." A real treat that every gentleman should experience in his life (and reasonably priced for the service).
