Despite taking photos with me, clearly showing which colours i wished to have renewed, and being assured by Linda, the salon owner, that Emmie Was more than capable, I decided to give this salon a try. I can only describe the 6.5 hours that followed (with me watching as my hair went from bad to worse) as a sheer amateur debacle. Emmie put in a colour totally unlike the one clearly requested. The colour did not reach my roots and on rinsing, she 'bled' the new colour all over the blonde sections! For a so called 'professional' this is a mistake that trainees should not make. I expressed my displeasure so she then said she would redo these sections - this time in a deep burgundy (not the colour I wanted at all). I ended up with purple sections in my hair with remains of the colour she put in earlier. The blonde sections had now turned pink and the whole thing looked terrible. Having arrived at just before 1000, it was now 1630! If you are looking for a colourist, do not go to Askews.
