Magazine » How to wear the mini bag?
Good things come in small packages and for this season it is all about the mini bags. They only carry your lipstick, credit card and maybe your keys but they are this season’s hottest accessory so leave the enormous tote at hom and pick up of these adorable miniatures.
All your classic favourites have taken on a diminutive form this season, there’s a whole crèche of mini bags to choose from including teeny Miss Dior’s, Louis Vuitton’s classic trunks, Alexander McQueen’s Heroine (£950) and Baby Proenza Schouler PS1s (£850), all small enough to throw over your shoulder without a care.
These little beauties were spotted on literally everyone heading to the shows this fashion month and if it wasn’t those mini LVs or Chanel’s on show it was the colourful creations of Paula Cadematori (Dun Dun shoulder bag; £1197), Kenzo (Crossbody; £180.50), Corto Moltedo (Theodora shoulder bag; £710) and of course Moschino who has turned us all into miniature bag loving Barbies this season (Moschino Cheap and Chic, Tiger on leather shoulder bag; £388).
One of the catwalk favourites that is a day and night stalwart whatever you’re wearing is Saint Laurent’s mini monogrammed bag (£1290) which is far more a piece of jewellery than a bag. Of course if you’re looking for a more simplistic statement, Topshop’s coin bag (£20) or Designinverso’s quilted PVC (£92) bag are light, bright and go with everything.
