Summer Hair Tips - All the help you need with your summer hair

"The sun will come out, tomorrow...tomorrow"
Here at Secret Salons we’re fed up of the cold, and we’re convinced that spring is exactly that – a springboard for the summer. That’s why we’re already wearing shorts and t-shirts and summer dresses with our sunglasses, in a homage to the sun that we hope will draw out the good weather that little bit early.
And no, you’re right, it doesn’t seem to be working…yet!
Summer Hair Tip 1 – Get your hair wet…before you get it wet
Ok, bear with us here. Wet your hair before you get in the pool or sea with some freshwater – it will help prevent the chlorine or slat doing some damage. Also shampoo thoroughly to wash it off when your out – neither the sea or pool water will do too much good when it’s left in your hair. Makes sense now doesn't it?
Summer Hair Tip 2 – Regular Trimming
Keep it cut regularly to keep end neat and tidy – sun can damage your hair and make it brittle which will inevitable cause problems further down the line. By keeping your hair in order, whether it be from a professional or by yourself, you can really see the benefits.
Summer Hair Tip 3 – Don't worship the sun too much!
Don’t sun your hair too much – you’ll need to protect it from the lasting sun in hotter countries (though you probably needn’t worry too much in the UK!). This goes for you blondies out there looking to top up your colour naturally - don't overdo it, wear a class hat from time to time.
Summer Hair Tip 4 - Use the natural warmth
Let your hair dry naturally – avoid using heat styling and your hair will stay moisturised for longer down the line. After all, the heat is there to use with any luck, why not enjoy it while you can?
Summer Hair Tip 5 - For damaged hair...
For sun exposed or sun damaged hair it's a good idea to consider some regular deep hair conditioning treatments, and maybe use some of the great hair repair products out on the market. Don't forget there's a world of professionals out there in your area who'll be on hand to help out!
