A great place to gain knowledge about the history of Grantham is the Grantham Museum, located on St Peters Hill. It is close to the city centre and is concerned with the history and development of both the town, and all the people in it. The collection is well put together and chronologically explores the long history of the area through documents and artefacts that have been collected over many centuries. The Woolsthorpe Manor is another historical setting where Sir Isaac Newton was born and lived with his family for much of his childhood.
