How does it Feel?
There is minimal to virtually no pain as the needles are very thin. The acupuncturist decides which points to treat by observing and questioning the patient in order to make a diagnosis according to lifestyle. Acupuncture will not feel like a day at the doctors - only when a needle is inserted deep in the tissue may it cause slight pain. The pain however, may only feel like a cramp. Areas with less skin are more prone to discomfort.
Does Acupuncture really work?
There are a lot of claims that acupuncture is very beneficial. For example: it may be hard to believe that acupuncture improves blood circulation. There really isn't any proof that this is true. On the flip side, it would make sense that it reduces and relaxes tension in nerves and muscles. It is a relaxing procedure which very well may have the potential to that of a face-lift. However, acupuncture most likely cannot reach that equivalence. Therefore, acupuncture is more of a relaxing experience and over time, may loosen tension which gives skin a younger appearance.
