Is the Gapped-Tooth Look Beautiful?
By now, we’re all used to the bizarre Hollywood trends and celebrity beauty fashions that populate the papers and glossies every day. But there’s a new one that caught Secret Salons interest that just seemed a little too bizarre to believe.
Apparently – according to esteemed sources including the BBC – the latest fashion is the gapped toothe look - one that is more associated with cartoon characters and animals that one of beautiful models. Yes, believe it or not the New York Times reports there is a growing demand for customised toothy-facades that cost upwards of £1,500.
Largely with thanks to famous models such as Lara Stone and Georgia Jagger, it seems the look is now less associated with toddlers and more with beauty and prestige. Madonna might have been trying it for many years – but now finally the look has gone mainstream.
So what happened? Did perfect just get a little too perfect for us all? Is an identifiable look preferable in today’s fashion world?
