Stow-Fest is a local music festival that attracts a wide variety of visitors and showcases a number of local bands. It is part of the larger Stowmarket Festival, which runs for 10-days in the spring time of every year. The festival hosts a range of events and activities suitable for all ages. Founded in 1883, Stowmarket Town Football Club, also called “Stow” or “Gold ‘n' Blacks”, competes in Division One of the Eastern Counties League. The team has won many honours over the years; the last cup won by Stow was the Suffolk Senior Cup in the 2006-2007season. One can watch the club play at their home field of Greens Meadow. The railway station serving IP14 is the Stowmarket Railway Station. It is on the National Express line travelling from London Liverpool Street to Norwich.
